I installed the plugin on my Win XP Pro laptop from my job. It works for Firefox, but not for Internet Explorer. I keep getting the message that I need to download the plugin. In my company's infinite wisdom, I do not have administrative rights to my laptop. Could that be the problem? If not, is there a workaround?

I seem to be having the same problem before when I updated to 4.0.0-dp-2 but when I updated to 4.0.0-dp-3 that problem doesn't seem to occur anymore. My suggestion is try updating to 4.0.0-dp-3.

P.S.
I did it in a Windows XP computer. Don't really know if it's the same for a Mac or a Linux environment.

I have 4.0.0-dp3 of RevMedia. So the issue is not with the revLet that I created with it. The problem is with the installation of the revWeb plugin on my Win XP laptop. Firefox is working, IE is not. IE displays the "please download plugin" graphic where the revLet should be.

No problem at all on Mac with Safari or Firefox.

I was wondering if my lack of admin rights on my XP laptop is the problem, or could it be something else?

I tried creating an account without administrative privileges in my Windows XP and it seems that I can't install the revWeb plugin too as a non-admin account. I'm not sure if this would be just a thing for the both of us but I have a strong feeling that it IS related to not having administrative privileges in your account.

Thanks for the confirmation. Now I won't beat my head against the wall trying anymore. It would be good if there was a warning that the plugin cannot be installed into IE without admin privileges.

Normally even at school, I could give myself administrative access whenever I want to but if I share how to do it here, that would be really BAADDDDDD...
