Can't get "Duplicate Card" to work? - Solved

I select the card.
I click "Duplicate Card", but nothing happens.
How is it suppose to work?

Must be a bug, confirmed on macOS 10.14.6 and LC 9.6.2 RC3.
As a workaround use the message box -> clone this cd

I am using macOS Big Sur 11.2.1 and LC 9.6.2 RC2.

Escapes me completely as I cannot find "Duplicate Card" anywhere at all.

My mistake.
It just says "Duplicate".
Don't believe it was intended to duplicate a card.

Erm, duplicate is for objects, not cards. Objects, i.e. buttons, fields, etc.
You can, as Klaus mentioned, clone a card, but I can't think of any way you'd duplicate or copy one.

After doubleclicking a card with the POINTER tool the menuentry changes to "Duplicate card", see screenshot.

Indeed: clone works perfectly when making duplicates of cards: use it all the time.

Well, I just learned something new hahaha. That does work in older versions, but I have never had any reason to suspect it was there! Goofy, but it does work out that way in say, 6.x, and not in 9.x.
In 6.x, it doesn't appear to matter if you have "select grouped controls' checked or not, very funny, you also get an option to 'copy card'

You can do "copy card" from the message box too, but I always wondered why they took away the menu item.
