File size limit to include a stack?

Post by dunbarx » Tue Nov 16, 2021 5:25 pm

I tried to attach a zip file of 740K to a post and was told that the file was too large. Anyone know the size limit?

Hi Craig,

this is not documented in the FAQ unfortunately, but I guess this is about 256 KB.

Thanks, Klaus.

Rats. The reason it is somewhat large is that my stack contains the entire American Dictionary, so the stack itself is about 4.5 MB. Any idea how to post a larger stack? I do not use dropbox or such gadgets.

I guess only other option would be to upload to some form of online storage and share a link...

good number of free alternatives - including google (bleh), mediafire etc.

Alternatively, take a look at Mega (http://mega.co.nz).
You get 20 Gb storage free and it's properly mindful of security and takes privacy and confidentiality very seriously. I use this from time to time, good service...
