Radial Slider peculiarity?

Mac OS 11.6, LC RC 9.6.9 rc2
Hovering the mouse over a radial slider triggers the valueChanged event.
Is that intentional?

Verified here. That does *not* seem right.

Well, if that's a showstopper, you can always search Sample Stacks my skRadial plugin - it's a group and it doesn't have a property panel, but it works well (I created this tool for my own uses) and I like to think it was the inspiration for the widget
)
