i use LiveCode 4.5 iOS on windows and i have found the following text on the runrev webpages:
Deploy to iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. This product is currently in
pre-release and may have bugs/be feature incomplete. Your license
includes access to the pre-release versions and the first final shipping
version. Developing for mobile phones requires the appropriate SDK for
the target platform, it is up to you to comply with any terms and
conditions imposed by the phone manufacturer. Please note development
for iOS currently requires a Mac to develop on.
does that mean, i can not create a iphone app when using LiveCode 4.5 iOS on a windows machine ?
i only found the way to deploy as standalone application and there are no iphone settings.

beste regards
fre

Hi Fre,

I am afraid yes. You need at least the iPhone simulator and Xcode, Apples developer tool. You also need to be an apple developer. All this means you will not be able to develop for the iPhone on a Windows computer.
i only found the way to deploy as standalone application and there are no iphone settings.
The iPhone settings are not in the regular standalone settings. They are part of the mobile-plug-in you get when you get your livecode mobile package.

The cheapest option is to purchase a Mac Mini and use that...
That's what I did for a couple of projects, although I still don't like OSX after using it for a year or so :)

Apple drives sales by forcing developers to use their hardware.
