Thumbnails from Documents

Hi,

I was wondering if there was a way to display 'thumbnails' from documents that are other than 'images' (ie - jpg, GIF, ect)

I would like to display 'thumbnails' of documents as in the 'thumbnail' view avaiable in Windows.

Thanks.

JSB

Hi,

I see I've had several views but no reply's.

I've been playing with the snapshot command and while this is helpful, does not do what I want. I can not control where the new document will open but it has to be visible on the desktop. I would rather it not visible or require the user to manually select the image. if the documents were all images, problem would be solved - but some are pdfs. If all the documents were set prior to using the 'app' - problem would be solved too. If there was a way to open a document, take a 'screen' image and save the image to a file (while not visible or the screen locked), that would work. I am going to try using the snapshot command used with the browser (I am not familiar with using the browser in livecode, so I need to look at the browser sample stack or lesson).

Am I explaining myself well enough to be understood?

Thank you for help in advance.

JSB

Thanks, but unfortunately that link does not 'work'
I am trying to 'print' the document to a file as an image (jpg) but am not familiar with with 'controlling' other applications or processes so will need to study the dictionary (I am truely an amature - I have a profession other than 'computers'.)
