DataGrid blocks Query Builder??

Can anyone confirm that this is a general problem (as opposed to something connected to Vista 64-bit; or user-error!) --

I'm finding that if a stack includes a datagrid control, the Query Builder no longer works. Before adding the datagrid, the QB works, and after the datagrid is deleted, the QB works again. But while the grid is in place, every time you try to add a new query in Query Builder, a new group named "Query 1" is added (visible in the Application Browser) but is not enabled in any way to select a databse, enter SQL, etc.

Any confirmations? Thanks.
