date scripts/trial scripts - you help is needed!

Hi - Wonder if someone can help

I've nearly completed programming my software and would like to offer my potential customers a 30 day trial.

Does anybody have any scrypts i can use that will show the customer how many days they have left of the trial everytime they open my standalone application?

Also, I'd like it is so that when a customer clicks on a button thats on my first stack a message will appear saying "your trial period is over" when it gets passed a certain date? What date scrypt could i use for this?
