Trimming revBrowser

Post by WilliamK » Tue Aug 24, 2010 12:21 pm

I've spent the last couple of days exploring the potential of Revolution and am particularly interested in the RevBrowser option, however I have yet to determine how I can remove/avoid the first window when the app starts. Ideally I want it to open straight into the browser window and not leave an unused window open in the background.

Is this possible and how can it be done?

Hi William,

sorry, I have no idea what you are talking about (first window, unused window???) :)
Could you explain a little more, please?

When Browser Sampler opens it launches a window that says "Welcome to revBrowser stack" with a button to click to launch the browser. I don't need any of this and only want to see the browser window open on its own.

Hi William,

ah, I see, but this is just an example stack where the actual browser is a substack.
So you would need to create your own!

I was hoping to be able to do that as proof of concept before registering the program.

Are the steps simple? Can you recommend a procedure?

Hi William,

did you check all the scripts that "make" the browser object in Rev work?
This is essential before you make your own!

But this is already advanced stuff I'd say...

Anyway, I could create a VERY simple stack for you to start, if you like!
Just send me your mail address: klaus (AT) major-k.de
