Unless I am missing something, why do you need anything more that to just edit the field directly? Do you want to display the original text next to the corrected one? Is the issue saving the data in a standalone?

The wikipedia keeps a running log of all changes. Is this what you have in mind?

Otherwise, the issue is trivial; edit and go. The latest revision will be the one saved.

Write back if I have this totally wrong.

OK,

Go to the beginners forum. There is a thread right now about saving to a standalone. It all involves a splash screen. Write back if this does not give you what you need.
