Fonts and cross-platform deployment

Post by leston12 » Mon Apr 22, 2013 6:46 pm

I recently purchased a Mac computer and opened my livecode project in it for the first time over the weekend. All of my development experience in livecode has been on Windows to date.

When my project opened in mac os, I noticed that the fonts on all of the buttons was much larger than they were on Windows. I understand that each machine has its own font set, so this is not surprising, esp going to a different platform.

What is the best way to handle fonts for cross-platform deployment? I assume that they can be embedded in the application somehow.

My goal is to create apps for both Android and iOS, and I wonder if anyone has suggestions based on their experience for which platform to develop on (Mac or Windows) for deployment to the mobile platforms.

Thanks!
Leston
