IOS SDKs greyed out

I have just purchased the "idea2app" program. I am in lesson 0 "set up" and following the video instructions.
I am very new to livecode. I am trying to set up the connection to xcode in preferences.I have downloaded the latest xcode and the xcode 4.4 and when I go to edit/preferences then mobile support - but when I go there the IOS SDKs is greyed out so I cannot add any information. Android is not greyed out.
This must be something I have not set up correctly but am not sure where to go from here.
Anyone able to help me?
