Setting up a toolbar

Post by bonbon » Sun Oct 12, 2008 9:35 pm

I'm missing something obvious here ... I've got my menu bar set up nicely, but I can't see how to set up a toolbar underneath (a row of transparent buttons with the usual icons - Copy, Cut, Paste etc). I've searched the examples & User Manual for toolbar, but either it's called something different or I'm looking straight through it.

Please would someone point me in the right direction ? And are the "standard" icons bult into Rev, or do I have to buy them and somehow load them into my app ?

Many thanks.

Revolution doesn't have a 'toolbar' control per se - but it is pretty trivial to build one yourself: just draw a couple of buttons and a line underneath. Adding drop-down buttons (like the multiple-undo buttons in Word) is a little tricky to script, but it's not the end of the world.

As for icons, you can get a few nice sets for free:

- http://interfacelift.com/icons-mac/

Hope this helped,

Jan Schenkel.
