1. How do you skin your app and make it resizable on desktops? Do I use the same as with mobiles where basically every field and button size is based on a screen resolution factor? Or is there a better/quicker way?

There is a tutorial on skinning apps using graphics that has been published on the RunRev youtube channel. It is part of the App Academy but RunRev have made this video (and a few others) from the app academy available to everyone.
