Anyone know if there is a new version of the user guide for 2.8.1
Found 2.7 with reference to latest with link but it was the same guide.
Just curious if there was a new guide thanks for any suggestions.

The latest user guide is for 2.7.1. If you click in the User Guide window of the built-in docs, a PDF will open, which contains the documentation for 2.7.1. Personally, I believe the user guide needs to be updated before 2.9 becomes official.
