Under Win XP the editor behaves rather strangely.
Tabs don't work and if I indent with spaces the
editor deletes them and leaves all lines left-justified.

Is there somewhere I can change tab spacing? Can't
see anything in the editor preferences.

Traditionally, xTalk editors have auto-formatted and indented the code in their own particular way - this dates back to HyperCard and is considered helpful for people who are new to programming.

You can turn off this behaviour by going to the Preferences > Script Editor > toggle the checkbox titled "Auto fomat".

Thanks Jan.

The editor still doesn't seem to behave "normally" for some
things e.g. shift + tab doesn't go back a tab space.

Maybe when I start a new script it'll be different.
