Background color in a label field

I've tried to put a background color in a label field
with the "Colors & Patterns" window of the Property
Inspector but no color appears.

Did I miss something?

Dear bjb007,

Make sure that the label field is opaque.

I read the docs. but didn't really "get" it.

Every day a little progress. Learn something
