Audio Programs

Have anyone found an app other than Quicktime 7 which will allow me to use the iMacs built in audio recording mike to record audio which can be imported into Livecode. It seems there are some sound apps which record into .AIF formats, but still will not play through Livecode.

Are there other sound recording apps which work with Livecode?

Dixie,

This is exactly what I needed. It works great, and it's free. Thank you.

I know what you are looking for, but I guess Dixies workflow will just be:
1. Record sound(s) with Audacity
2. Save in a LC compatible format
3. Use the sound(s) in Livecode
8)

You cannot use "external" audio editors with Livecode as their "frontend",
unless someone (or you) creates an external that lets you do this.

Best
