BackDrop looks different under WinXP and MacOSX

Good morning!

(new day => new bunch of questions ;-) )

I recently realized that - under MacOSX - the "BackDrop" looks different than under WinXP.

To be more precise: I 'set the BackDrop to the id of image "Texture"' and use the same image as background texture for my stack. Under WinXP, both backdrop and stack thus look the same, while under MacOSX the backdrop looks bluish (i.e., the backdrop looks as if a modified copy of my "texture" had been used)

The look of the window indicates that the texture itself has been loaded properly.

Does anybody have an idea for this behaviour? Is it "a bug or a feature"?

Hi Rozek,

Are the screen settings exactly the same, on both machines?

I'm using a backdrop all the time, with a particular project, and have never noticed this problem (which doesn't mean there is no problem, I just haven't seen it yet).

Best,

Mark

Hello Mark!

Well, since both machines have completely different hardware and run different operating systems comparing their screen settings does not really make sense.

Nevertheless, I expect the BackDrop to work properly under MacOSX as under WinXP (and haven't checked Linux yet)

The program is really simple and can be made publically available.
