Convert stack to PDF

Post by bsouthuk » Wed Dec 17, 2008 5:50 pm

Wonder if someone can help.

I'm working on some quote generating software in Revoltion and need to be able to include a button on a page that when clicked, Revolution will convert everything thats shown in the stack to PDF. Can anyone tell me if this is possible and if so how it can be done.

Thanks

Daniel

Jan Schenkel's Quartam PDF Library for Revolution http://www.runrev.com/products/related- ... f-library/ will likely be of interest, especially if you don't have control of what software and configuration your target machines will have.

You could otherwise use a virtual PDF printer and build a print routine to output that to the PDF generator, but that assumes that all the target machines would have such a virtual printer installed (which would be default on a Mac, I believe. If you're doing a distribution for Windows where you can control the software on the host machine - eg a corporate client network - then something like Primo PDF, or PDF Creator * - both free - could work)

* don't confuse the free PDF Creator software (available on Sourceforge) with any other commercial product of similar name.
