I must admit that LC 8 is quiet confusing to me. I cant figure out if it is me doing something wrong or LC 8 is still buggy.
I have set up a stack, added a Browser Widget, set up the page i want it to display, setup the standalone settings for windows. All done but when i compile the stack and run it it is just a black app, nothing shows up, do i have to fire up the widget on openStack? I also noticed that the externals folder is empty, so i manualy choose Browser and Browser CEF to be included, alltho this time the externals are in the externals folder i still get the same results.

Hi zaxos,

on the "Copy files" tab in the standalone builder settings you need to check
which widgets you want to include in your standalone!

I think this will also cahnge in a future version, so this will happen automatically,
but until then...

Ahhh, perfect. Thank you klaus. Any idia if the browser widget is going to get smaller? how could someone publish an app 90mb in size... Even ziped its 30mb...

is it? Ouch! Did not create a standalone for a long time...
Sorry, no idea, but hopefully it will.

It's probably not the browser widget that's making the file so big. LC8 is doing that. I have a 220 kb iOS app and the standalone is 25.5 mb

Its the chromium external my friend, i use revOpenBrowserCef not revOpenBrowser. revOpenBrowser is just a few KB is size but it depends on the version of your current browser on the current platform so it is not very reliable, that why i used revOpenBrowserCef. Hope they make it smaller.
