XML Library not returning the right characters?

Hello,
I have not worked much with Revolution, and hope someone can help me with the sample stack RSS. What I get from the XMLTree does not seem to handle characters above ASCII value 127 well. The feed is in ISO-8859-1. If I run the feed in a browser with char set utf-8 everything seem fine.
In Revolution I get some strange characters instead of the æ,ø,å characters I need.
Can I do something to get this right?
