Compiling causes an antivirus alert!

I've had a problem (well, an inconvenience) when compiling
my programmes when Avast Antivirus block the compile
suggesting that my stack contains a nasty of some sort.
I usually get around this by putting the .exe filename on
the exceptions list but the last time this happened I had
to turn Avast off to get the compile to complete. Then
when it came on again it popped up to say that it
was sending my file to their labs for further
investigation.
Worse was to come - users reported my programme
causing their (different) AV throwing an alert when
they tried to run it.
LC 7.1.2 "bog standard" i.e. no externals -- nothing
but out-of-the-book LC code.
Anyone else had this problem?
