A problem I've seen mentioned previously but one which
I've not experienced...

Code which works in the IDE doesn't work when compiled.

Clues appreciated.

Update: It's not now working in the IDE so guess it's
something I can fix.

There is many causes to obtains what you describe.
Is your "script debug mode" = true when you work on IDE ?
You may have a look on this post about "errordialog" which is useful to spy the behavior of a standalone.
