Perhaps "Unfortunately, ..." or "Currently", or something along those lines, eh?
nope, I don't see why!?
The last posting in this thread is more than 10 years old.
This only tells me they took the time to look for a
solution on their own, instead of jumping right to starting a new topic without any effort at discovery. You may have noticed I have this same tendency
I said that somethig may have changed a bit in Livecode.
We (you and I) have no issue with this, many things have changed in Lc.
I said everything concerning examples and learning LC is now in the "Help" menu.
And the "Learning Center" is not in that menu anymore.
Again, we (you and I) have no issue there, it was very helpful to point out, and likely makes a great deal of sense from a design perspective when the mother-ship decided to do it.
So THIS is what I call obvious***, or do you see it there?
***FYI: obvious = easily discovered,
SEEN, or understood
Ah HAH, now we have something to talk about
Let me ask you, is 'common sense' really all that common? After all, a lot of people consider it 'common sense' to not touch a hot stove, but just as many learn not to touch it after ... well, after they touch a hot stove ! "But that should be
obvious!!! Sure it should be, if you have the experience that makes it such.
You, Klaus, have been through many iterations of the IDE, and are probably on the cutting edge of it a lot of the time. Things you see as obvious, I would probably
not, either though lack of experience, or knowledge. The learning center is referred to in a great many places online in reference to Lc, how would you expect it to be 'obvious' to that person, brand new to the environment, to know even where to look for it?
I think that is where we part ways, I would not expect it to be obvious to anyone new to an environment. Your expectations I guess are higher, I hope I don't continually disappoint you (but it is probably too late for that)
