text tool for images?

Hypercard has a "Text tool" for adding Text to an image. How can this be done in Revolution?
First thought to mind for me was to place a text label over the image and
set the font, size, color and text you want, and then use the "export
snapshot" command to actually combine the text and image together as
one into a new image.
