Timelines in unrev
Is it possible to create a timeline in Runrev that would display movies or wav file as blocks?
Thanks

Hi Bidge,
what would you like to display if NOT a waveform?
And how shoud this behave at all (clicked?)?
I have actually no idea, but on the other hand I don't have to
Anyway, I am sure I have an old stack of Mr. Mark Smith that will create a graphic representing the waveform of a given sound somewhere on my HD.
I will send it to you if you doen't mind
Best
Klaus

I'd be happy to send it to you if you haven't got it from Klaus already - but it would only be useful for wavs or aifs - no video....
On the other hand, I think what you want to do would be perfectly possible.
Assume you're using a simple rectangle graphic as the "block" representing the audio/video. You need to figure out the width of the block compared to the duration of the media clip, and then have a line graphic that you move across the rectangle in sync with the current position of the player - see the docs for "currentTime".
Cheers,
Mark Smith
ps. Klaus, only the taxman and the police call me 'Mr'
