Revolution Player

Hello all,

I have created a stack in Revolution Enterprise 3.5, and thought I would deploy it on another PC, using the Revolution Player 3.0 for Windows.

I copied the mystack.rev file (not the stacks real name) across the network, and opened it in the version 3 Revolution Player. Navigation works fine, but onMouseUp events don't fire. Hmmm. Not sure what I failed to do?

Then if I open the stack in Revolution Enterprise on the target machine, all is well.

Just when I fall in love with it again, Technology leaves me sitting alone in an expensive restaurant on a Saturday night. Ha ha, only joking.

Not much to go on, however someone may have experienced this before?

Kind regards, Andrew

Andrew,

Probably, you have an old Revolution player, which uses the legacy format instead of the version 2.7 format. Why don't you create a standalone?

Thank you for posting Mark,

Actually I should in fact be using the very latest Rev Player, downloaded fresh today following the instructions in my Runtime Revolution Order email:
You can also download the free Revolution Player from here:

The Player allows you to share your stacks with others, on any platform
Revolution supports.
I chose Revolution Player 3.0 for Windows. I assume version 3.0 covers all Revolution Stacks created in the version 3 branch including Revolution Enterprise 3.5.

Yes, I did eventually create a standalone which worked fine.

I can however see the benefit of using the player within my team during software builds, and did want to solve the underlying issue that is preventing my stack functioning correctly with the Revolution Player.

Kind regards, Andrew
