This appears to work similarly to a regular scrolling field, except that the thumb is expanded to the full height of the object and as such only the arrows allow scrolling.

Of course, if a *scrollable text field* were to be a *composite object*
(c.f. datagrid)
whereby the scrollBar were an entity inwith a *group*
that also contained a field, things would be different.
