Standalone Application Settings/Copy Files/Add Folder fails

Post by bd525 » Thu Aug 31, 2023 9:05 pm

In Standalone Application Settings/Copy Files when I click Add Folder... the dialogue at "Select a folder to add from:" freezes, including clicking Cancel. I am able to back out with Control-Period, but that doesn't help, because I can't accomplish the process. Sure seems to be a Livecode bug, but mysterious in that I have been developing and making runtime apps for many months (years) without the problem occurring previously. I have no idea what changed.

Couldn't find any reference to this problem in the forums, so posting.

Working on Mac Big Sur. The same problem occurs on Livecode 9.6.9, 9.6.10, and 10.0.0.

This never happened to me. Are you saying it happened to you all of a sudden?

If so, sounds like some sort of corruption. I am also in 9.6.9.

I assume you restarted the machine. Maybe reload LC?

Well, things just got a bit stranger, but in a good way. I had indeed restarted the Mac, without any change, but a second restart did the trick. Didn't occur to me that might happen before I decided to post. In the immortal word of Emily Litella: "Nevermind."

And thanks for your help, Craig.
