Toolbar integral to top of window as per modern Mac apps

Post by pthirkell » Mon Nov 01, 2010 7:52 am

Is there a means (or a third party external) that allows access to the toolbar feature at the top of Mac windows? This makes for a very professional looking standalone application.

pthirkell,

You can't do this natively, but with Shao Sean's ssMacExternal external, a "metal" style window, self-tinkered icons and a lot of tweaking, you can get pretty close. Unfortunately the website http://shaosean.tk/ doesn't tell how to get the external.

Kind regards,

You can approximate a Mac toolbar look as Trevor's done with his ScreenSteps product:

It may not be ideal, but lets you work natively in Rev for a cross-platform solution.

Hi,

Shao Sean's external IS an ideal solution (given the limitations of RR/LC).

Kind regards,

Unfortunately Shao Sean is no longer making the external available. I'm new to revolution but it seems a great pity that the brilliance of Shao Sean is no longer available.

pthirkell,

Why do you think so? Perhaps if you ask nicely...?

I did enquire but sadly Shao Sean is only supporting previously registered users at this time.

pthirkell,

There's nothing I can do about Sean's decision. Sorry.
