Should be much sooner than that. mergZXingGetBarcode in mergAndroid is scanning via Intent. That means you need the barcode scanner or barcode scanner + app on your device. It's actually the way the barcode scanner folks want people to scan but it's usually not the way your clients want you to do it

I've implemented the embedded control (no dependencies) and it's in testing.
