So, I answered that... if this does not help him then I obviously have not understood what he is trying to do... and will now 'shut up' !...Also where should the "retrieve file" script be place if not in preOpenCard? This is probably so simple, I'm a bit embarrassed to ask.

. Thanks for the example stack. I integrated it and it works great. I put the retrieve photo code into preOpenCard and it works fine there as well. Thank you everyone for your help. Much appreciated.
