Sort of nicely put Richmond.

I saw just recently that RISC OS 6 is available now too. I haven't actually used RISCOS since 1997 - when I came to Thailand. But it was probably the best OS I have worked with - though it's problematic because of running from the ROMs :( (I don't know anything about the softload versions). I used to work at an Acorn Dealership in Reading UK and had great fun doing ANSI-C (and BASIC) coding on the whole range of Archimedes and upwards systems. Even got a commission from the BBC to do some fake monitor display code work for a couple of their TV series.

I'm still quite happy that the world is using the ARM processor in so much hardware nowadays - I started using it back in my old Arch 440 in 1987. Amazing to think that that was the forerunner to the iPad (iPhone) and Androids that are used now. Well as much as a Neanderthal is the 'grandfather' of most of us :)

Anyway, I would actually second the request for the RISCOS LC version, except that it would be a silly thing! :) :) :)

Cheers,
Dave
