The licenses were "non expiring". They were valid until a date and allowed to use all versions which were released before that date, but that versions could also be used after that date.

I don't know, I asked her if I can put her reply into a pm to you so you would understand what the reason was, it isn't a reason I would wish to publicly announce, and I don't know the constraints she might be under with it.
