I never knew that the Linux, Windows and Mac versions of LC were different. apart from look and feel. This is what the "Edit" menu looks like on a Mac, with the SE open:

Looks the same as on Linux with two differences:
- I see "Autocomplete Snippets.." just below "Go"; likely a license type difference.
- "Preferences" is at the bottom of the Edit menu on Windows and Linux; though we all put it there for all platforms, the LC Mac engine moves it to the Apple menu per convention for that one platform (same with "About" as the last item in a Help menu).

I have a love/hate relationship with bracket completion. You have to hit the right-arrow key to go over the closing bracket or quotation mark. That's annoying, but on the other hand, it really helps to keep your nested brackets in the right places. So I leave it on.
Yep. I'm with you on that. I like it until I don't.

I actually thought it was one of the better improvements to the IDE heh. Aside from keeping the brackets in the *right* place, it keeps you from accidently forgetting one.
You want to have real fun, track down the bug caused forgetting 1 bracket/parenthesis somewhere, weekend wasted, hilarity insues
