Pulling in contacts from a phone book group

Hi all

I have read through lots of comments and instructions about importing contacts from the iphone phone book. What I would like to do which is slightly different is to create a "group" in my phonebook and then instruct my app to only pull through those contacts in a specified group. I know how to create the group but can I refer directly to it ?

Is that possible ?
