I guess I'm at a little bit of a loss. LC seems to be all about mobile and I get a free trial and yet I need to ask for a trial for mobile, too? I'm definitely confused.

Right on all counts. Learning any new programming language is probably easier if you're not carrying a lot of baggage from other environments. There's less to unlearn.
