Newbie with un-answered questions.
Hello, All. I am very confused by the not-so helpful staff at RunRev ... Perhaps they are too lazy to assist potential buyers? I sent them the following emails and am hopeful that you guys will help me more than the sales staff. > Query:Hello. I have no past programming experience and without trying...

livecode resolutoin + widgets issue / question.
I wanted to try livecode and really use it a version or so back but had one major problem. The whole resolution + palette + widgets + fonts don't adapt to the 100's of android devices on the market. if i design my application i would very much like it to re-size according to the screen size its run ...

Re: Cant make my final decision. Please advise.
so at this point this thread has grown considerably. its not turning into an argument i hope ... i am merely trying to make the correct decision. i believe my points are valid by pointing out some obvious things. yes learning objective-c is a whore on its own and java ... lets not go there. i've nev...

Re: Cant make my final decision. Please advise.

We have one unified environment to do all the work which is great. Supposed to have an easy to with pr...

Re: Stacks and content being resized
very nice. except when i hit test it says: "Unknown deployment platform". weird. (Developing for android) quick question though: if i want ONLY the re-size function do i just copy that section? i just like how i can resize and it refits things. do i just copy that function into my "stack" and i am g...

Cant make my final decision. Please advise.
I am really having an awful time trying to decide on Livecode or not. I have 0 programming skills yet I am an IT Administrator. I am Redhat Linux certified and I am capable of administrating networks with my eyes closed. Yet when it comes to programming I just am a simple n00b. Until I discovered Li...

Re: objects look so "wrong" and "ugly" on device
gpb01: mobgui looks great however it hasnt been updated in ages. i tried the demo version on my trial install of LC 5.5.1. it only showed iOS controls... no android anything ... and heres where problem #2 arises. lack of Android controls is a problem. hardly any solution is available. there are some...

Re: objects look so "wrong" and "ugly" on device
Hardly any resentment my friend. merely pointing out how they are making all this happen. its not exactly rocket science. they are merely simplifying "real code" and make it somewhat like a "script" in their own "language". and thats great! not sure what you mean by "effective marketing department"....

Re: objects look so "wrong" and "ugly" on device
Well thats just super! I guess the reason is obvious. RunRev creates its own runtime library with its own widgets created from the runtime library it uses to compile the code in any of the OS's you choose. Its a great idea and works great for windows/mac/linux... not sure about apple junk... does it...

objects look so "wrong" and "ugly" on device
The style of buttons and every object looks completely "window'ish" when testing on my device which has miui (4.0.3 based). shgouldnt these objects inherit the look of the android system so they look somewhat normal? also, why is the size of things soooo messed up? but on my pc screen all looks so n...

I am currently trialing Livecode 5.5.1. I have installed jdk-7u7-windows-x64bit because i have a 64bit windows 7 installed. i have installed the android sdk with support for android 4.1, 3.1. my concern is does livecode support 4.1 or does it reach a limit upto 3.x? when i first set it up it asked t...
