Thank you, n9yty. I was beginning to think this was not a particularly friendly forum. On reflection I should have cut and pasted the information that Simon provided in the end. Anyway, it's water under the bridge now.

I had a similar experience on a very cheap android device, bought specifically for test purposes. I will need a faster laptop before I choose to run the android emulator again. Never mind - the open-source version of LiveCode should appear any day now. And this post should confirm that I have a Kick...
