Grey blank screen in android standalone

hi,

I recently returned to the joyful fields of livecode to make simple app for my beloved one and find myself encountering a problem I cannot solve.

Problem is, even though I`ve tested it on actual Android devices and virtual testing and both options had newer OS versions than 2.2, Im still having a grey/blank screen.

Just can`t simply put my head around this, because it is basic app with multiple links to various cards, no coding error could be doing that ( I would attach the stack file, but it is not allowed ). In the distant past I`ve done several apps with livecode that used same basic structure, so I have no idea what I missed this time. Since it is for one person (which is using a Sony Xperia), I avoided the nightmarish journey to make it screen size-optimal for multiple android screens and all images are fixed size.

Have you made a "Hello World" test on a device yet?

Don't worry about screen size issues as this is a thing of the past with the current liveCode

hey Simon,

I did. Several times. The problem was with the images - I imported them as controls from the menu, and it started working like a charm. Super-ashamed now but what can I say - it must be madness.

Simon, I need to confess something - earlier, when I said "it started working like a charm" - I lied The image size was cropped:

So screen size issues still haunts me. Could you give some advice or send me some links where it might be explained how to deal with this ?

I spent a week with this issue - does drive you mad - turned out for me that it was an LC 6.7 dp5 issue [other?]. Go back to dp4 and I bet your problem goes away.

thanks newtronsols, but even in dp4 it stays the same. Haven`t tried it in 7.0, though

It DID work on dp4! It had typing error on preOpenStack script. Ashamed again. Thanks guys again, really appreciated. Virtual beers to everyone
