ScaleFactor and ubuntu

I recently discovered that using setting the scalefactor higher than 1 on Ubuntu desktop causes the formatting of the fields to go haywire. Here's a pic of one of the scripting conference stacks with it's scalefactor set to 1.25 :

It works fine in windows, one other person has also noticed this behavior in the scripting conference thread:

I am wondering if this is a bug, or is there a fix/workaround?
