Save as Standalone application ERROR

Post by bsouthuk » Mon Dec 08, 2008 5:34 pm

Wonder if someone can help me.

I'm trying to save my software as a standalone application but an error appears on the screen saying that there was an error while saving the standalone application. Then there's loads of jargon that doesn't mean anything.

Could somebody please point me to the right direction and let me know what the problem could be?

Thanks

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

What's the jargon, exactly? It might be important.

Hi jsburnett,

Make sure that you are using a genuine Windows icon. If the file is in .ico format, you should either be able to build a standalone or get a message that some icons are missing.

As Revolution 2.2 predates Windows Vista, it may not like the .ico file your icon editor is creating, if it includes 'huge' icon sizes. You might consider moving up to Revolution 3.0 - there's a special holiday bundle promotion at the moment that you may want to take advantage of.
