LiveCode 6.7 vs LiveCode 7.0
What are the main differences between LiveCode 6.7 and LiveCode 7.0? Is there palace that explains how they differ and why, in fact, it is necessary to have both versions?
Thanks in advance for any helpful information.

Hi Larry,
LC 7 = LC 6.7 + full UNICODE support!
Best

Klaus,
I was so excited to see your reply that I purchased an Indy license so I could have access to the Chrome browser in a compiled form of my current application. I have compiled it and sent it to a few users and have yet to hear anything - good or bad. I then went into one of my older applications and tried to run it in the IDE, something I have done all through the LiveCode 6.6 and 6.7 series, and was horrified at an error I immediately say. Just opening the first window I got a message that claimed I had an error in the left operand for 'put tPortValue + tDividends into tPortValue'. Is that related to Unicode?

I don't have the slightest idea, Larry

Re: LiveCode 6.7 vs LiveCode 7.0
Strange. All is well this morning. I gave up yesterday before finally pin pointing an error. I was suspecting some kind of database error because tDividends was 'Error' (which explained why it couldn't be added to something). I had other obligations so after sleeping on it I came back this morning and everything was working. I feel much relieved.
Thanks for being there Klaus. I know you must get a lot of strange questions because I have contributed more than my share

Back up your stuff, first. LC7 ate about 40 lines of my top card script. It wouldn't compile the script after it opened.

Chilton, are you able to reproduce that? Clearly that would be a bug, and if the team is made aware of it they'll jump right on it.
If you get a recipe for that, you can submit a bug report here:
