Info about widgets?

Everybody speeks of LC 8 and widgets. Is there a substantial info about LC widgets?

All I can get until now is a video from July where Kevin is using Apple's Keynote application to give a presentation about a LC widget that is able to create a presentation.

I don't believe there have been any newsletter articles or other discussions of v8, but I expect we'll see some in the coming weeks.
