1001 Things to do with LiveCode

Post by Peter Wood »

Even though there hasn’t been a new entry for a long time, there are still between 50 and 100 visits to the 1001 Things to do with LiveCode site everyday.

After a long hiatus, I have posted a new entry today featuring a client/server calendaring and time recording application.

I’m sure that many of you have developed lots of interesting apps in LiveCode since the KickStarter campaign. Your apps deserve a few moments in the spotlight, why not send me some brief details, a screenshot or two and I’ll do the rest.

Peter,

I built a very quick free accident book for business using Livecode.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... p&hl=en_GB

I had hoped to output to pdf but as its Android I had to settle for exporting screenshots.

A lot of the code solutions I found on the Forum/web etc and I simply joined the ideas together.

It's not perfect but it took about 2 weeks altogether. Most of the time was spent re-working ideas and trying to work with a scrolling app on Windows at 0.25 scale.

Thanks for http://LiveCode1001.blogspot.com

133 workers and 70 members of the public were killed in UK workplace-related accidents last year. They are talking about fining companies in the UK £20m per workplace death. Yet even companies the size of Asda-and-the-like fail to train staff in Health & Safety or use up-to-date data-protection compliant accident books - if you search Twitter for "accident book" you'll see several references to workplace accidents per day. So I thought a free Android app accident book following the latest HSE guidance would be useful to society.

Just realised the hyperlink to Accident Book on Google Play isn't working. Should be: https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... p&hl=en_GB
