Is there a "place" that people post their LiveCode open source apps that are created with LiveCode Community?

I guess I was asking ...well because I am a newbie and could learn from other people's code...but also that there is a requirement that apps created with LiveCode Community are supposed to also be open source. If that is correct, then I was hoping that there would be more available to view. I have a website. I would not mind hosting apps for others if it would help.

That's a very generous offer, Linda, thanks for that. There are many great resources in the community, but rather spread out. RunRev is working on a more centralized place to share stacks, but in the meantime if you can tell me the sorts of apps you're most interested in making I'll see if I can find some good examples for you.

since such a question is asked, i'd like to know how i can share a few stacks too, i tryed so many times login in or creating an account to share them but without success, no mail confirmation or anything...

There are many great resources in the community, but rather spread out....if you can tell me the sorts of apps you're most interested in making I'll see if I can find some good examples for you.

Nothing in particular at the moment. I have several ideas for apps...
from children's books (the Ebook academy will help with this)
to veterinary related apps that involve calculations, dosages, drug formularies (another eBook type), How-To technique video apps for students.

For the drug formulary app, most of the data for reading is in HTML so these would be loaded as resources.

Pretty simple types of apps but rich in content or use for the veterinarian and or student.
The children's books would be more of a diversion from what I have created in the past in other languages.

I was asking this not just to learn from other's code but to also give back in one way to the community. I cannot answer other people's questions yet so this is a way of assisting the community in a way that I can help.

Also, I don't want to USE other people's code but rather learn LiveCode faster by seeing examples. There are no Danny Goodman books like "The Complete Hypercard Handbooks" out there for LiveCode. I agree that there are many great resources as you mentioned but as you said they are "spread out".

I have some community stacks you're welcome to look over at http://tlittle72.neocities.org/info.html. They include the newest version of Beginner Lab, a tutorial for LiveCode. Reading other people's code is a great way to learn tricks and solutions to common problems.

Both RevOnline (within LC) and LiveCodeShare (http://livecodeshare.runrev.com/) use the same database and are download-only for most people. The long standing problem of broken upload won't be fixed, but replaced with something else in the unidentified distant future. [Check for private message.] Terry

Even if my site is also download only, it would be easy enough for people to send their zip to me and I could post it for download.

It only takes a minute to copy/paste a brief description and upload the zip.
