Using Revolution to present course content.

Post by bboyko » Tue Jul 15, 2008 12:41 am

Does anyone know of a simple tutorial on using revolution to present course content. I have some programming experience from university some few decades ago and if revolution would be a step up from html pages for allowing my students to download lessons in Physics 11 and 12. Thanks.

Course Content Presentation

Have you looked at Moodle.com? Courseware-writing software and Learning Mangement Systems (LMS) in the corporate and higher education worlds are thousands and tens of thousands of dollars. But, as you may know, there are free open-source alternatives to all of the major software tools. This is the case with course-authoring and LMS tools as well. What you might want to check out is the free, open-source program called Moodle, which is an LMS and a course-creation tool. Learn about Moodle starting here: http://moodle.com/ For hosting your Moodle courses, there are very inexpensive services available like this one: http://www.siteground.com/moodle-hosting.htm

Cool link, Mark, but I can't seem to get it to download from MacUpdate and the domain gabelinskicreations.com is non-responsive.

Is this available elsewhere?

Try right clicking on the "Download Now" link at macupdate (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/28870/exammaster) and choose "Save link as" from the pop menu. It works now on OS X 10.3.9

Thanks - found the issue: seems MacUpdate requires cookies to be enabled just to click a download link. Once I turned on cookies the link works fine.

Too bad the vendor's domain is still offline, though. I wonder what became of him, or if the product is still active.
