What is [[Player]]?

Post by Simon » Fri Jan 30, 2015 1:21 am

Hi all,
What is the definition of [[ ]]?
I see [[Player]], [[iOS8]] and [[ CEF browser ]] in the release notes.
Was I sick that day of school?

In the move to the new player based on AVFoundation there were a number of bugs and missing features that I found during the course of testing so I started to report them to the QA centre http://quality.runrev.com. I noticed that bugs reported for the new player had [[Player]] in the title so I assumed that was meant to distinguish it from the old Player based on QuickTime so I followed that practice. Not sure if that was really why it was being used but it worked for me.

I am not sure what the rationale is for [[CEF]] and the others.

Martin
