Virtual Get Togethers on World of Warcraft

Post by Lynn »

Ive noticed a few Revolution users also happen to be players of World of Warcraft. Anyone interested in getting together to do a totally different type of hacking? Maybe we can designate an unofficial user server for get togethers. I know some folks have found Second Life to be fun, but there is nothing quite a bloodbath to unblock creative juices :-)
Best regards,

I play Horde on Duskwood.

But I'd start something new up... we could make a guild maybe...

Mostly on Mac, but have the Windows version also, and it's installed on
my XP laptop, and then my kids have a copy also, and theirs installed on
a Windows ME box.

I've never had Warcraft, but heard it was similar in game style to AOE,
is that true? If so, I'll probably make the investment to get that also.

I played the original WarCraft a LONG time ago - but what we are talking about above is World of Warcraft. AoE is a great game.

I checked for new servers and have set up a character or two on Thrall. Message me as "Fredrich" on Alliance :-) I havent set up a Horde character there yet though - if you have a species preference, let me know and Ill set up one similar (I enjoy all of them).

Only $49.95 USD for Mac or PC. Cool, I'll get it at the end of the month.

I haven't played an MMORPG before, so I'll have to practive up a bit first
before I get too far.

I have played it on both a PC and on a Mac - I can attest that its rock solid on the Mac (with the variety of parts and drivers, PC experience may vary). It runs quite nicely on a PPC Mac Mini.

A buddy of mine who used to the partner manager at Apple for game vendors (recently he defected to MS's xBox division) told me that the Mini is a perfect machine for WoW - he uses it himself.

I can attest that my Quad G5 with a 512meg video card is very acceptable for playing WoW. :D

OK. OK. The Thrall server. I'm there. Character name "Meane"
